This dish is a staple in many Albanian households.
Ingredients:
- 6 bell peppers
- 200g rice
- 300g ground beef or lamb
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- Salt, pepper, and parsley
Instructions:
- Prepare the filling: Sauté onions and ground meat. Add diced tomatoes, rice, and seasoning, and cook for about 10 minutes.
- Stuff the peppers: Cut the tops off the peppers and remove the seeds. Stuff them with the meat and rice mixture.
- Bake: Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish, add a bit of water or tomato sauce, and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30-40 minutes.
